EMformacja is a social movement dedicated to environmental regeneration through the use of Effective Microorganisms (EM).
A Summary of Our Efforts So Far
Distributed Products
At the very beginning of the flood, through the EMformation initiative, we distributed 2,000 liters of a product donated by Greenland EM Technology. The product was provided to groups interested in spraying flood-affected areas. Nicole, along with Barbara Biss, coordinated the delivery of the product while offering guidance on its use in flood-impacted areas.
Greenland, in collaboration with the Oblas Fire Brigade, organized a bioremediation effort in Lądek-Zdrój, supporting the crisis team in addressing the effects of the flood. A similar action took place in 2010 after the flooding of Janowiec and other areas in the Lublin region, where, thanks to cooperation with the Oblas Volunteer Fire Department, spraying was conducted with a water cannon mounted on a fire truck. The experience gained back then has been invaluable during the current crisis situation in Lower Silesia.
During a joint visit to Lądek-Zdrój, all flood-damaged streets were sprayed. After returning, another 20,000 liters of Effective Microorganisms were distributed to other affected areas such as Nysa, Ołdrzychowice Kłodzkie, Radochów, Trzebieszowice, Bystrzyca Kłodzka, Kłodzko, Przyłęk, Bardo, Żelazno, and Długopole-Zdrój. These microbial solutions are meant to help residents conduct individual sprayings on flooded homes and their surroundings.
Scientific Research
Scientific research is essential to convince decision-makers of the effectiveness of Effective Microorganisms (EM) in crisis situations. The Green Gaya Foundation, in cooperation with the Faculty of Biological Sciences at the University of Wrocław and the Afortest Environmental Analysis Laboratory, is conducting research by collecting samples from soil, building walls, and water in a cemetery. The aim is to compare the microbiological state of flood-affected areas before and after EM sprayings.
Preliminary results indicate that flood-affected areas are largely contaminated with petroleum-based substances. Additional tests will be conducted following subsequent sprayings, continuing until spring. Once complete results are obtained, the Foundation plans to propose comprehensive, nature-based solutions to local governments for addressing the impacts of floods.
Collaboration and Fundraising
To fund further free supplies of microbiological preparations and to continue research, the Green Gaya Foundation conducted a fundraising campaign. Importantly, the foundation collaborates not only with us at Greenland EM Technology but also with other producers of microbiological products and scientific institutions. Together, we have provided 40,000 liters of microbiological solution to flood victims.
And Now?
Further Distribution of Preparations
Funds collected during the campaign will be used to purchase additional products, especially for repeat sprayings on flooded areas. Please send any requests to: supermikroby@gmail.com.
Survey Preparation
„We want to gather your opinions and experiences to serve as a strong argument for decision-makers. Let them see the value of using microbiological preparations after flooding. The survey can be completed online in just a few minutes. We sincerely thank flood victims who manage to find the time to fill it out, as well as everyone who helps share it further.”
Collecting First-Hand Accounts
„We also want to gather stories from those who have experience using microorganisms. If you would like to share your stories or photos, please contact us at supermikroby@gmail.com – your testimonials are invaluable to us.”
In Conclusion
„Thank you once again for your support! Remember, this is not the last time we take action – we will be ready to respond in the future as well.”
